Develop an intelligent chat assistant together in a team of two. The goal of the assistant is to help new students get started at TU Kaiserslautern and quickly find their way around their new environment. Take this opportunity to learn and apply innovative development tools to create an interactive chat assistant based on state-of-the-art Natural Language Understanding (NLU).
Workshop on 24 March 2022: 14:00 – 18:00 and 25 March 2022: 09:00 – 13:00.
Creativity and teamwork are required here. Two of you will compete against other teams. Convince us with your “Erstie Welcome Bot” – the best team wins a prize.
Which task is being worked on?
Your task is to introduce new capabilities for the assistant, design interactive conversation flows and train a machine learning model for language understanding. Use your own experience and creativity – we provide the space for it. Build the most helpful and varied assistant you can imagine!
What equipment do I need?
All you need to participate is a computer with Internet, microphone and speakers, and webcam. You will receive a ready-to-run web-based system to collaborate online for two days. Each team can choose to create the assistant in German or English, focusing on different target groups.
Who can participate in the workshop?
The workshop is aimed at all computer science students who enjoy AI and like to work together in a team! Basic knowledge of Python is required. Basic knowledge in machine learning is an advantage.
