New OmnIA release unlocks private LLM for self-hosting

With Service Pack 3 for the advanced OmnIA platform for intelligent process automation, Insiders provides easy access to the latest AI developments and enables high performance with absolute confidentiality.

Insiders, a leading provider of intelligent automation (IA) software, has released OmnIA 1 Service Pack 3. OmnIA is the logical evolution of the widely used smart FIX product and a central platform for orchestrating and controlling processes and workflows in AI-based process automation. With the new service pack, OmnIA continues to evolve as a platform and gives customers access to the latest AI developments – simply, securely, and efficiently.

Private LLMs offer maximum security and confidentiality

A highlight of the new release is the ability to run your own instances of large language models (LLMs) completely separately from the internet on-premises, thus meeting the highest standards of data protection and confidentiality. Insiders provides LLMs that are specially preconfigured for document processing and therefore place lower demands on server performance. These LLMs enable significant improvements in classification and data extraction – even without lengthy training. Another interesting feature is the ability to validate AI results by combining multiple AI technologies. Thanks to the on-premises option, even use cases with the highest confidentiality and data protection requirements can be implemented securely. At the same time, the customer’s digital sovereignty is strengthened.

Significant improvement in invoice processing

The new OmnIA release offers many new features and improvements for the e‑invoice pro solution: Credit notes can now be processed in the same way as e‑invoices. A new format for the PDF visual receipt generated from the XML data record significantly improves user-friendliness. And the automatic account assignment of invoices has been optimized in terms of quality and costs through the use of LLM. Numerous improvements in detail, such as the new XML parsing of e‑invoices, the processing of embedded PDF attachments, and the new normalization of extracted values, also lead to a significant increase in the performance of the solutions installed at customer sites.

A wide range of innovations for all use cases

Other innovations in Service Pack 3 include automated reports, which can be used to automatically generate analyses and reports containing interesting information on process flows and send them by email. Together with the new client logs of the Web Verifier, the intuitive component for integrating clerks, this facilitates optimization during ongoing operations. The use of multiple parallel OCR services, which was already optimized in the last release, has been further expanded. This means that the smart PKV solution for private health insurance companies can now also use Microsoft OCR for higher recognition rates for documents.

OmnIA forms the basis for numerous standard solutions from Insiders and its partners, for example for processing general commercial documents such as orders, delivery notes, invoices, and all types of files, especially personnel files. There are also many industry-specific standard solutions, for example for the insurance and real estate sectors, as well as a wide range of individual applications for individual customers. “With OmnIA as a platform for intelligent process automation, we regularly provide our customers with AI innovations that are easy to use. Every improvement or new feature in OmnIA has a direct positive impact on thousands of customers and offers them new opportunities,” explains Dr. h.c. Werner Weiss, Managing Director at Insiders.

Customers can now obtain the new release of OmnIA from Insiders or their supporting partner, or have the new features presented to them during a demo appointment. A non-binding demo is also available to interested parties.
