Insiders simplifies the receipt, processing, and sending electronic invoices, and enables further process optimizations. The event showcases real-world examples and provides insight into the development.
At its e-invoice user forum, Insiders presented its vision of “Next Level Invoicing” to its customers.
Against the backdrop of the upcoming requirement to receive e-invoices starting January 1, 2025, many companies are still uncertain about the specific implementation, connecting to specific portals, or integrating them into the relevant processes.
To alleviate this uncertainty and facilitate companies’ transition to using electronic invoices, Insiders has further developed its proven Invoice Management solution. This combines the traditional processing of paper and PDF documents with the new formats in national and international einvoicing into an integrated solution and already enables the efficient receipt and sending of einvoices in accordance with the latest EU standards, as well as automated invoice processing.
After Managing Director Werner Weiss opened the user forum in Berlin, Insiders first explained to its customers the Insiders P2P landscape and how it not only facilitates the receipt of electronic invoices, but also, looking ahead, enables the sending of electronic invoices and further simplifies processes. It is based on OmnIA, the new platform for intelligent automation, which enables the configuration, orchestration, and analysis of services and processes. The solution includes the components e‑connect, e‑convert, and e‑invoice pro.
e‑connect ensures seamless integration with various national and international portals or email inboxes, e‑convert enables the conversion of all invoice data into the required format, and ee-invoice pro is used to process all electronic and other invoices in a single AI-powered workflow. Insider’s P2P landscape is complemented by various AI modules such as auto-matching and anomaly detection based on Insider’sproprietary AI solution OvAItion, as well as well-known product modules for processing purchase orders, delivery notes, or order confirmations.
Peppol expert and consultant for the German Peppol Authority, Michael Walther, then explained in his presentation how the Peppolnetwork works and how customers benefit from the certification of Insider Technologies as an official access point.
In two user presentations, Insiders’ customers from the healthcare sector also demonstrated how they have integrated Insiders’ Invoiceportfolio into their systems and use it for electronic invoice receipt and issuance. Among others, the amedes Group impressed the audience with an overview of figures and data, as well as the optimization of its processes through the Insiders Cloud.
This was followed by an outlook from Dr. Maximilian Schwenger, Head of e-Invoicing Development at Insiders, on the further development of e-invoice by 2025. In his presentation, he addressed the upcoming changes on many levels—regarding the enormous potential of AI technologies, legal requirements, and the handling and processing of data, as well as planned product and further developments. The focus here was primarily on the AI building blocks that will be available in the future and their benefits for process optimization in accounting.
Finally, Dr. Alexander Swienty, Head of Channel Management, rounded out the first day with his presentation “Standardized e-invoicing—tailored for your success,” in which he introduced the Insiders community and network and explained how the intensive exchange among participants fosters the continuous evolution of Insiders products along a reliable roadmap.
Participants made full use of the second day of the user forum for one-on-one discussions and topic-specific workshops. For example, customers worked together with Insiders experts to further develop products such as auto-verification, anomaly detection, and a new human-in-the-loop interface. In 2025, Insiders Technologies also plans to intensify its collaboration with selected customers in the e-invoice sector and incorporate their input into the further development of its products.
