Insiders will be represented at the 2026 E-Invoicing Summit, taking place October 26–28, 2026, in Frankfurt am Main. In his keynote address, “E-Invoicing Meets AI Agents: Automation Throughout the Entire P2P Process,” Alexander Swienty, Head of Channel Management at Insiders Technologies, will demonstrate how structured invoice data can be used to automate downstream processes.
For many companies, the e-invoicing requirement effective January 1, 2027, is initially seen primarily as a legal deadline that must be met. As of that date, companies with prior-year revenue exceeding 800,000 euros must issue domestic B2B invoices electronically; smaller companies are granted a transition period until the end of 2027 [1]. However, those who focus solely on the act of issuing invoices are overlooking the real opportunity. With e-invoicing, invoice data is available in a structured and machine-readable format for the first time. Building on this foundation, entire process chains can be automated far beyond mere compliance with legal requirements.
Invoice Data as the Starting Point for AI Agents
This is precisely where Alexander Swienty’s keynote address, “E-Invoicing Meets AI Agents: Automation Along the Entire P2P Process,” at the 2026 E-Invoicing Summit—taking place October 26–28, 2026, in Frankfurt am Main—comes into play. If invoice data is available in a structured format, downstream steps such as reconciliation, verification, approval, and posting can be handed over to AI agents that work autonomously and only escalate to subject-matter experts in the event of exceptions. Insiders Technologies brings to the table its expertise in AI-based processing of heterogeneous business documents, which companies are already using today to automatically classify and analyze large volumes of documents.
“AI agents need precisely this structured data to independently handle verification, approval, and posting. Anyone who treats e-invoicing merely as a mandatory requirement is leaving this potential untapped,” says Alexander Swienty, Head of Channel Management at Insiders Technologies.
