The Proalpha Group, one of the leading providers of business applications for small and medium-sized businesses, is acquiring Insiders Technologies GmbH and significantly expanding its Industrial AI Platform with leading AI applications and services for digital document processing. In addition to its group companies Nemo and Empolis, Proalpha is thereby expanding its AI expertise to 500 experts. At the same time, Proalpha reaffirms its commitment to its home region and strengthens its collaboration with leading AIinstitutions such as the German Research Center for Artificial Intelligence (DFKI), the Fraunhofer Institutes IESE and ITWM, and the Rhineland-Palatinate Technical University of Kaiserslautern-Landau (RPTU), with which Insiders has been working closely for many years.

Going forward, our customers will benefit from consolidated AI expertise and ready-to-use, pre-integrated AI applications—all from a single source. The Insiders portfolio will be seamlessly integrated into Proalpha’s ERP and business applications while remaining available as a standalone solution —optimized for third-party systems and in line with our best-of-breed strategy. The closing of the transaction is still subject to the usual regulatory approvals.

An established partnership and AI as a core strategy

“Insiders has achieved a strong market position with its innovative solutions for cognitive process automation and the use of AI as a key technology,”, emphasizes Christoph Kull, President of Business Applications at the Proalpha Group. “The company also addresses AI-based automation trends in our customers’ target markets and has established itself for years as a market leader in the application areas of Purchase-to-Pay automation and mailroom automation. Insiders provides our customers with additional business-critical applications that are tightly integrated with ERP systems, such as e-invoicing, some of which are already required by law. We already look back on a long-standing partnership and have thus been able to build a relationship based on trust between our two companies. “We are proud that numerous ‘hidden champions’ from the manufacturing sector—such as SFB Schwäbische Formteile, GEDA, and MULAG Fahrzeugwerk—are among our mutual customers.”

“The solutions from Proalpha and Insiders complement each other perfectly and, as integrated AI offerings, will deliver real added value to both existing and new customers,” emphasizes Werner Weiss, CEO of Insiders Technologies GmbH. “Furthermore, our complementary target industries create a promising foundation for successful cross-selling. Above all, however, our long-standing partnership has convinced us to now jointly realize the full potential of our collaboration.”

Agentic AI as the Next Step in Development

“Companies must approach the use of AI strategically and in a targeted manner—process by process and business unit by business unit,” says Eric Verniaut, CEO of Proalpha Group. “Our Proalpha Industrial AI Platform offers a tailored set of ready-to-use AI apps that industrial SMEs can immediately and practically integrate into their business processes along the value chain. With the acquisition of Insiders, we are now expanding this AI platform for our customers to include cognitive process automation in document-based workflows, which fundamentally transforms decision-making processes and operational efficiency. In this context, Agentic AI will also play a central role in further development toward a new generation of artificial intelligence.”
