Whether it’s XRechnung, ZUGFeRD, or the Swiss QR code—electronic invoices are gaining ground both nationally and internationally. With smart INVOICE, you can process various formats and standards within a single solution.

The digitization and automation of procurementand invoicing processes has progressed even faster than expected over the past 18 months. Paper invoices are clearly on the decline. More and more invoices are now sent via email, and the increasing maturity of structured einvoice formats such as ZUGFeRD or XRechnung is bringing the digitization of the entire process increasingly into the focus of businesses and government agencies.

The advantages of digital invoices are clear: Invoice issuance and
processing become simpler and faster; companies save on postage costs and personnel resources; and, above all, they help protect the environment because less paper is used and transportation distances are eliminated.

To make electronic invoice exchange the standard in Germany and internationally, the Association for Electronic Invoicing (VeR) is pooling the expertise and extensive knowledge of service providers, consulting firms, and other experienced market participants. Insiders Technologies has also been an active member of the association since last year.

The content is parsed, and the relevant information is automatically transferred to the respective ERP system. To ensure convenient processing, the machine-readable document is also displayed in a clear, easy-to-read format. With appropriate workflow solutions, the subsequent steps—such as review and approval—can then be mapped digitally and automatically within the ERP system.
