Under the title “Hungry for Automation? Dr. Oetker’s Journey to AI-Based Invoice and Order Processing,” Marcel Foth, IT Specialist Consulting at Dr. August Oetker Nahrungsmittel KG, and Dr. Armin Stahl, Product Manager at Insiders Technologies GmbH, will demonstrate how artificial intelligence can be used to automate the entire incoming invoice and order processing workflow.
Dr. Oetker has been using the Insiders solution smart INVOICE since 2007—the standard product for the automated processing of all incoming invoices in the SAP®or ERP system for unsorted, arbitrarily mixed invoices and credit memos, analyzing approximately 480,000 pages per year. For about three years, the food conglomerate has also been using Insiders’ smart ORDER solution, the standard product for automated order processing of all incoming, randomly mixed orders. With the implementation of these two solutions, Dr. Oetker benefits from high-performance products that already provide all key functionalities in their standard versions and can also be used internationally. Back in March, Insiders Technologies, together with its client BASF, contributed to the conference program of the SSON AP Automation Digital Summit 2021. The presentation, titled “Tanker Meets Speedboat – BASF’s Novel Path to AP Automation,” demonstrated how Insiders Technologies, in just 16 months, implemented a cloud-based application for automated data extraction into BASF’s global SSCnetwork, which handles 3.4 million invoices per year and accounts payable processes in more than 80 countries.
